  • Views expressed by the MAIT and NASSCOM presidents at that time were:
    • "The BharatBhasha project is very significant as it will make computers accessible to the other 855 million Indians who speak vernacular languages." said Mr. Manu Parpia, President of MAIT.
    • "The BharatBhasha project will enable the infotech culture to percolate down to the grassroots level where there is tremendous interest in computers." said Mr. K Ramani, President of NASSCOM.
